New Vegan Options at the Disney Value and Moderate Resorts

We’ve been seeing some new options roll out at the various Value and Moderate Resorts at Walt Disney World, so let’s see what new options you have to look forward to on your next vacation! Foreshadowing; you won’t want to miss the new dessert!

Starting off with breakfast we now have a Plant-Based Totcho Bowl. This bowl is filled with potato barrels, plant-based eggs, red beans, vegan cheese, pico de gallo, avocado, and green onions.

This bowl was a large portion and very filling. I did personally add some salt and hot sauce to give it more flavor, but it was a really hearty meal. The tots were very crispy and I love that they used beans rather than a plant-based meat alternative. Currently you can find this specific breakfast at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.

Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort both still have the Vegetable Breakfast Quesadilla which you can see the full review of here.

Next up for new items is a “Grab and Go” lunch and dinner option which has officially made it’s way to all five Value Resorts and both Port Orleans Resorts. The new Plant-based Greek Style Pita can be found in the fridge of each food court or ordered on the app. This pita features Impossible beef, hummus, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pickled onion, and a plant-based tzatziki on the side.

I really enjoyed this option! Ours seemed to be made fresh as there weren’t any in the fridge ready to go so we ordered via the app. I do wonder how this would hold up if it’s been in the fridge for an extended period of time with the hummus and the pita having time to get soggy. But I really liked the flavor of this option, the kofta style Impossible beef was well seasoned and does come cold but wasn’t weird to me (I had lots of messages on Instagram asking if it was cold). I would happily eat this several times on a trip here. I liked the added crunch of the cucumber and the tang from the pickled onions.

Another new option for lunch and dinner is an updated version of the Plant-based Burger. If you previously had the burger at Disney’s Pop Century Resort then you’ve had this new version. This burger has completely replaced the Korean BBQ Burger which was at all five Value Resorts, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.

The new Plant-based Burger is one of my favorite vegan quick service burgers. This burger is Impossible meat with a “Special Sauce”, pickles, lettuce, onions, and tomato. The sauce is what makes this burger as it is something we often do not get with our burgers on property. I also appreciate that they’ve skipped the vegan cheese on this since it is never melted anywhere anyway. I definitely recommend giving this burger a try!

The shining star of new options at all these resorts is the Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich. I am not sure if it’s made it’s way to the moderate resorts yet, but it is at the Value Resorts currently.

This Cookie Sandwich is SO GOOD. Yes all caps and bold GOOD. The frosting to cookie ratio is perfect and the cookies are super soft. I mean honestly best Disney treat I have ever had. I will be getting these anytime I am even remotely near a resort with them because they were so good. Also only $5.79, which is less than half the price of a cookie sandwich from Erin McKenna’s at Disney Springs.

These are the big updates of new options at these resorts, I hope this helps you plan your next trip a little easier. To see the full list of vegan options at the resorts head to this list here.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
