Tiffins Guest Post

This week we have a guest post from Michael, he recently dined at the Signature Dining restaurant in Animal Kingdom, Tiffins.

Tiffin’s Front Entrance

I had high hopes for Tiffins since it was a signature restaurant and it does put on a good show. Unfortunately, it seems to be a facade. Our waitress was very nice but not as accommodating as I expected for the prices here. There was no offer for a chef to come out and speak with us which was fine.

She gave my family the ‘allergy menu’ which is bound in leather (ugh.) The only option on the menu for entrees is the vegetable curry ($29) and there was no offer to change anything else to make it vegan. The kids menu had nothing either and the black bean fritters on the appetizer menu aren’t vegan either. I asked if the vegetable rolls from Nomad’s Lounge, which is attached to the restaurant, could be ordered and she said no.

Pre-Meal Bread

The bread that came out was vegan and pretty good. We ordered the apple walnut salad and beet salad which looked nice but pretty bland. The vegetable curry was also pretty disappointing. The vegetables were under-cooked and it had no kick to it at all which you would expect from a curry.

Our kids ordered a bowl of pasta with marinara sauce (blah) and a plate of veggies and potatoes which ended up being the best thing there.

Beautiful decor, bland food, and high prices. I’m just glad that I was invited here and didn’t pay for it. Would not return.

Thanks for the review, Michael!
